Ontario's new photo card announced!

ID now available for non-drivers

On July 25, our government announced that Ontarians can now apply for a new photo identification card at 21 Service Ontario locations across the province! Ontario is the 9th province to offer this option to non-drivers. This secure card will make it easier for people aged 16 years and over who do not have a driver’s licence to open a bank account, to make travel arrangements or to perform other activities that require official ID.

The Ontario Photo Card is currently available at two locations in Toronto:

  • 47 Sheppard Avenue East, 4th Floor (Yonge and Sheppard)
  • 1025 Lake Shore Blvd East (Lake Shore and Leslie, above the Canadian Tire)
